Series of 3 Wednesday evening events in April and May

A result in all 3 events is needed for an overall series result.

Battleaxe Event 2   Wednesday 15 May 2024  Birkett Houses, Bowness

 

A return to this popular area first used in 2022. Fast woodland and open fell.  No long climbs (NB - contour interval is 2.5m).  Walls and fences highlighted in pink must not be climbed - marked crossing points must be used.  Map lidar-based, 2022. Long Tech and Long 1:7500 scale, Short and Yellow 1:5000.

Enquiries, EOD, finish and download at SD402918 near Great Tower. Start 800m.

Parking along Ghyll Head Road as directed

Courses:  Long Tech (no paths/ruined walls on map) 5k,  Long 5k, Short 3k, Yellow 2k

Walk to start and finish TBC

Closing date for entries:  Sunday 12th May

Start times:  17.30-19.00

Courses close:  20.00

Entry fees:  Senior £7/Junior/Student £3
